In the last couple days.

We got engaged exactly 12 years ago. February 7, 1997. Man I must be old, or was I just a child bride? Jer was going to ask me on Valentines day but just had the ring burning a hole in his pocket. He picked me up and told me we were going to his sisters house in American Fork. He passed that and drove to the temple. He put in a Celine Dion CD The Colors of my Love, which he had played me before and told me it was a great engagement song, I sort of had a feeling I knew what was about to happen. It was freezing so I sat in his car and he got on his knee on the ground. I can't remember the words exactly but He said he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of forever with me. I cried and said yes. We went over to his good friends the Olsons and they took our picture for us. We sure look young and cheesy. Every one thought we were crazy and some thought we wouldn't last, well here we are, 12 years later and 4 kids later, I love him more every single day. Jer does everything for me and my kids, and everyone one else for that matter. I know you all think you think you have the greatest husbands but I just might have you beat!

We have had a great couple of weeks. Jer started his new job at XO communications. He is really happy and so am I. I am not happy about getting up so early and feeding breakfast to everyone. I really miss how he used to make breakfast for us. We are really spoiled. I am trying to get good at it. His boss' love him and that really is exciting. He already went to a Jazz game with dinner, taken out to lunch by his boss, and breakfast to watch the Jazz practice. He has to head to California for training for a week and I am really jealous about that. Maybe we will just drive down and crash his hotel room! We are feeling so blessed to have a great job. We know our prayers have been answered.

Hayden was in his first car crash on the way to preschool with the Eldred's. A 17 year old boy hit the back of them. Everyone is alright just a little whip lash. Hayden is mostly worried about the van. He said in his prayer to please bless Nora's van to get fixed. He keeps asking why the boy didn't stop. I pray every day for us to be safe. Thank goodness my prayers are heard!

We had a great date night this last weekend at Lacaille. We have a friend in our ward who has been undergoing some cancer treatments. A few great ward members got together and decided to plan a benefit dinner and silent auction to help with medical bills.
Please go to my list and read Michelle and Justin Bancrofts blog. They are so amazing. She is an inspiration to everyone around her, I feel so lucky to even know her!
