Parent Teacher Conference

Here is the letter I got the next day. Preston is so awesome.


We had a great Parent teacher Conference. We went to Preston's First. The first thing his teacher said was he is soaring. He is reading on a level J. The district level is a D by the end of October. There is one other boy in his class that is also reading on that level. He is awesome at math and he is a good listener and a great friend to every one. Sydnie is also doing amazingly well. She turns everything in and get 100% on every thing. The only problem we have with her is that she is gabby. Not to the girls but to the boys! I have been told that at every conference since first grade. I think she is still oblivious to the fact that they like her. She is just buds with them. I hope it lasts a little longer. I am so proud of them. I just love love being told how smart and great my kids are. Their teachers are so great this year too.

Flash back 12 years.

Here are some of us when we started dating. I was only 17! Did you hear that I was so young but so was Jer he was 21. Fresh off the mission. It sure seems crazy now but we talked about it the other night and we think that if you believe in "fate" or "meant to be" then we were it. So many things fell into place so quickly. The picture of the three is at my brothers farewell. We spent that night up in the canyon and I guess Jer just couldn't resist me. He called the next night.
The other is me teaching preschool, and Jer just young and hot. Do any of you recognize that fake Santa helper. It is Marc Wilson, Margie's brother. He was the only guy in that class. This is fun to get old pictures out. Thanks Amy for the idea.

A day in the life of.

Sophie and her yogurt and her first bonk on the head. At her rate there will be a lot more.

I keep remembering things I wanted to add today. So I am making dinner and waiting for my pictures to upload. My brother in law asks me sometimes what I do all day so I have a couple of examples. The day after school started I got the kids ready and walked them to school. Then ran home up hill pushing 2 kids in the stroller. I decided to have a clean house after it being a huge mess all summer. So I started with the base boards, shutters, and the floors. Then the dusting and vacuuming. All this after picking up toys, doing dishes and putting things away. In between all of this I clean up Hayden's mess then Sophie's mess, then Hayden's, then Sophie's , then Hayden's, then Sophie's. Then I started on the bathrooms. I thought having just 2 at home would be a cake walk. I was so wrong. Hayden came in and said Sophie got into the yogurt. So I cleaned that up. Then she followed me to the bathroom. I was in the tub while she sprayed Windex all down the front of her. So I cleaned that up. So then it was nap time. A few seconds later she was out of her bed. She climbed out! She is my first to do that. So I put her back in and locked her in. She got out again and got into the lotion and bum cream.Then I cleaned that up and she got into the folded laundry and put Hayden's underwear on. Please someone help! She is supposed to be my sweet loving last baby.
So today I did mostly the same. When I got home from the run. I cleaned up, did dishes, made beds, the ran to A.F. to try to get raspberries, for the third day, to make jam. I made blackberry but everyone wanted raspberry. I went to the store to get muffins and brownies on sale. Then washed to van. All the time slipping on Oreos and Swedish Fish from the person before me. I got home and started on the garage. We have so many dead bugs and spiders in it I was screaming every five seconds. I squished 1 black widow last week after spraying it with bleach, so I finally swept it out. After organizing all of Jers tools and mess. I went to sweep the porch. I found 1 more black widow and killed it with brake parts cleaner. Then I tipped over my dead flower pots and found 2 more. I killed the male with the cleaner but I ran out. That female slut got away while I ran for WD 40. Of course I had to come inside and clean the whole house again and make jam and pick up the kids from school then try to think of dinner. I am tired so I am hiding in my dead bug, and some alive, infested basement.I really love my kids and love being a mom but man I am tired. I now will go finish dinner and fold laundry. I am so glad I can vent to all my friends and family. Thanks. I am sure everyone can relate.

Flash back Friday

I am copying some of my friends. I love seeing their old pictures. I will have to dig out our bin labeled old photos for next week. Can you believe we have been married for so long. Over 11 years. We met in November so we will be together for 12 years in just a couple months. We are still so in love. I can't believe I picked that horrible veil and had so much baby's breath, I hate that now. Jer is still just as hot and I am turning into an old hag already!

Locks of Love.

So we did it. After spending the weekend at Bear Lake the boys needed hair cuts so I cut theirs then after so much annoying begging for months and months I gave in to Sydnie. "All my friends have short hair." "You are not your friends. You can't cut your hair til your 18."
But Mom is a sucker and I caved. I cut it a couple nights ago. I guess I did pretty well for being an amateur. Sh e can send her 11 inches to locks of love. She can pass of a service project for Faith in God for donating also. These aren't that great. We used Jers phone.
Back to Bear Lake. I am so sore from the dang tube. It just proves I am a wimp. We had fun on Grandpas new Cobalt boat. We all fit on it. It was great to have one last trip. It was so cold when we got home. It is so crazy it is almost Fall. Sorry I don't know how to flip them. I am just dumb. She is so cute with her sassy hair.

I can't believe it's September!

So it has been a few weeks, these have been crazy. We have had highs and lows. The kids are all adjusting so well in school. Syd is in 4th with Mrs. Lindeman who was in our last ward in Saratoga. We love her and are so excited for all the fun stuff she does. Preston is in first. He has Mrs. Geddes. She is the funnest Grandma and loves kids. I got an email from her last week telling me that he jumped 4 reading levels over the summer. He is now on a third grade level! Hayden started school with Miss Shannon. All our kids have gone to her and we love her.
The first week of school we had some very sad things happen. Hayden's preschool friend was hit by a car and he passed away. We will miss him so much. Ann Summers also passed away. She is Jers cousins mom. They will both be missed so much. Please add the Summers and the Mardesich's to your prayers. Also the boy named Brandon who was involved in the accident. I am so thankful for the fact we know we will see our loved ones again. Also for the Atonement. We can all be forgiven for any sins we make on this Earth.

School is in session!

So I walked the kids to school today and I did cry while I took their picture. I can't believe Syd is in 4th grade and Preston is in 1st. Where does the time go. Everyone always tells me it will go by so fast so just cherish every moment while the kids are small. That is hard to do when every day seems like a battle. We had a crazy summer. Nothing to exciting, its hard with no yard for the kids to play in and no friends close by. We still have no neighbors. We try to recruit people all the time, there is plenty of land and we know a great general contractor.(Still Water Homes. Check the link list.Hint Hint)
We did go to Bear Lake for the 24th. We had our first experience at the Pickleville Playhouse. For any one who has been I will say "Jya Say". That was so fun, the kids had a great time, especially because Mom got them snow cones, which I never do because they are too messy. I will have those pictures with the school pictures. We had a fun 4th of July. I got tickets on KSL for the Stadium of Fire. Sydnie got them for her birthday. She cried and I cried when she did. We went to the parade and saw the balloons as we drove by to get our seat. Breakfast at Magleby's was really yummy.
We went swimming only one time to the Scera. I must be a terrible mother, only once! It is so much work with four kids, I am sure many can relate.
Thats about it. We did weed wack the weeds and spray weed killer on them but I think it was more like fertilizer for the tumble weeds. If any one needs and weeds or rocks or huge scary bugs for and science projects we have a huge amount to choose from.
I started the Twilight series last Tuesday. I am in the middle of book 3. They are driving me crazy but I can't seem to put them down. I hope she ends up with the werewolf. I think I like him a little bit more than the perfect vampire. I looked at the movie trailer and I think they could have chosen a much better looking Edward. Who knows maybe I'll watch it anyway. I just hope they choose a good Jacob. I sort of like the Indian type.
There are a ton of pictures. I had to scan them so I hope it works. Preston played T-ball and had a great time. His team had huge hitters and they were so good at getting people out. The last game they had four players and they got five kids out. So fun. Sydnie and her friends Kyra and Kennedy all won first with their solos. We do it for fun and Syd is really good. Maybe someday I"ll figure out how to put a movie of her dancing on this.

I really have no idea what I'm doing!

We had a crazy week. My little brother Michael got married on Thursday. He married a cute sweet girl named Megan. Their wedding was so great. Except the part where they made me talk at the wedding breakfast. (I will figure out some way of getting you back for that.) It is so great how every Sealer is so in tune with each couple after only knowing the for a few minutes. He said the greatest things that were so meant exactly for them.
I Picked up my sister Mary Anne from the airport on Wednsday then headed up to do the flowers. They turned out pretty good of I do say so myself. Her flight went back at 6:00 on Friday to stinky North Carolina. We left our house at 3:45. It was so hard getting only a few hours of sleep. It was so great to see her and Cute Rocky boy, Rockaronious, Rockstar, Rock-O-Moracco, rocket man. He is getting so big. We all miss them so much. (Please hurry the freak up and get back, we really need to see Alice and Gracie too, We miss them sooooooo much. It makes me cry just to think about it. And of course we would all like to see the whole family.)

On Friday we had a party at my Grandma Goodwins. We were laughing that there were only a few of us there just 57, only about half. Jer took the boys to their first father and sons camp out. They of course got eaten alive my mosquito's. It probably wouldn't have happened if Mom was there of course. (Jer did try the bugs were out to kill.)

I will hopefully get more pictures of the wedding soon, it turned out to be so cute with all the bright colors Megan chose.

One week til school starts. I can't wait. Maybe my house will stay clean for at least 5 minutes.

I guess it worked.

We need a new digital camera. When I get one I will add more pictures.
